Top Gear, Yellow Infotainment, and the Tesla

I guess I need an "international" category now
So Top Gear did a review of the electric-powered Tesla Roadster.

A bit of damnation with some significant praise. Not a bad review, right?

Wrong. As it turns out, Top Gear likes to play fast and loose with the facts. Per a comment by Tesla Spokesposter Rachel Konrad on Dvorak.org (scroll down to comment 42), Top Gear's complaints - battery life, recharge time, and a brake failure - were either gross exaggerations or outright fabrications.

Dirty pool, Top Gear. I thought we took care of the British Falsification Hegemony back when Ben Franklin's army of Brutum Fulmen automatons seized every Tory-loyal print shop in Boston in 1781*. Don't make me come over there.

* See, that didn't really happen, either. Doesn't feel so good when people make things up when they're talking about you, does it?
