Several months ago, our Corporate Overlord asked us to revamp one of their special publications, Handlebars. It's a motorcycle publication for East Tennessee that's distributed free in the metro area. Knoxville actually has one of the most vibrant motorcycling scenes in the country, with riders coming from around the world to take in the winding mountain road at Deals Gap (also known as The Dragon).

Whether or not you ride motorcycles yourself, the culture of cycling is fascinating, spanning a lot of different "tribes," from Harley cruisers to sportbike racers to off-road enthusiasts. We decided to make Handlebars cover as many different styles of motorcycling as we could handle, which resulted in no little controversy. (Some of the tribes don't want to read about each other.) Our first issue came out in February with The 555 on the cover; the March issue is hitting stands right now featuring a locally designed boardtracker -- very beautiful and very unusual.
We'll be adding a Handlebars section to Metropulse.com soon, but you can see a digital version of the magazine at www.fromthehandlebars.com.
