It is worth joining Facebook to see a wonderful self-nominated candidate for University of Tennessee's presidential spot. Here's a sample of the platform of Kali Meister, who was recently informed that her Jack E. Reese Writer in Residence at UT would not be renewed due to budget restraints:
"...First I am changing the University of Tennessee's name to the University of Stevie Nicks. All of the roads around campus that are renamed after every sporting event will be permanently changed to the names of Goddesses except for Pat Summit, because she is a goddess.
Our colors will be shades of tan and we will now be called "The Big Beige". Our mascot will be a large animated gypsy who spins around like a dervish covered in scarves and plays a tambourine. Quiz Bowl will now take place during halftime at football games before the marching band plays. All football players must participate in Quiz Bowl. The Quiz Bowlers have the option to play football if they want. Our school song will be "Stand Back"..."
