The Daily Pulse:

Back in Style: Rico Stache Bash Celebrates Upper-Lip Hair

The mustache is cool again, sort of, as this piece from The New York Times back in January indicates. (Either "too gay" or "too straight" seems to be a major division between mustaches. There's also the question of authenticity--like, do you really mean it, whatever that means, when you sport one?)

Knoxville has its own annual celebration of all things mustache related in the Rico Stache Bash, an annual 'stache contest coming up this weekend at Sunspot. Categories include Most Creative, Best Place to Hide a Criminal, Best Mustache, Best Female, and Welcome to Puberty. It's all for a good cause--proceeds benefit the University of Tennessee Oncology Department. Free to get in (but donations are accepted), $5 to enter, registration starts at 7:30 p.m., winner announced at 10:30 p.m.
