The Daily Pulse:

High School Zombies Attack!

No, that's not in reference to my own high school experience, but rather to a zombie movie shot and assembled by theater students at Farragut High School. LOCK(ED) IN will be screening today and tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. in the Ferguson Theatre on the Farragut High School Campus.

Check out the movie trailer at

"I have 31 students involved as well as five adult cast members," writes FHS theater teacher Lea McMahan in an e-mail. "Six students wrote the 32 page script; three students did the majority of the camera work; five students are currently editing; four will cover special effects in the editing process; and two students will be creating our soundtrack."

This looks like a truly slick, polished effort worth watching. Could it be the best zombie movie ever shot in Knoxville? (Not including County Commission meetings on public-access cable.)

Nick Carter actually ended up composing pretty much all the soundtrack. I wanted to make sure he got the credit for it : ) Lea McMahan
