So why is there a line of women standing around on Market Street, tucked behind a barricade?
And why, at approximately 12:35 p.m. did they open their mouths as one to emit a piercing "Squeeeal!" at the sight of a gray tour bus driving up Union Avenue?
According to eye witnesses at the scene, the answer is David Cook's show at The Square Room tonight at 7:30 p.m. (For those unaware of who David Cook is, he was apparently a winning contestant on something called American Idol.) Word on the street is that people have arrived from England--the country!--to wait in line for tickets in Knoxville, Tenn.
According to The Square Room's website, the show is sold out.
