The Daily Pulse:

Sundown in the City kicks it old-school

The heavens parted and good weather arrived just in time for the first Sundown in the City concert in Market Square last night. Arrested Development headlined, with Knoxville's Dishwater Blonde opening, and it was pretty much a perfect evening on the Square:

Some things I saw (beyond 10,000 people co-habiting on Market Square):

* AC Entertainment's VIP party up in the Knoxville Chamber's office. I got to watch Arrested Development eat cheese -- just like normal people!

* A teen couple complaining about getting kicked out of the Square -- because the guy was wearing a live snake around his neck. "They said a kid got bit by a dog last year," she said. "But this isn't a dog!" he added.

* Many drunken people coming up to our MP booth and asking if they could ride the scooter we're giving away -- sorry. You have to enter the drawing, and the final winner won't be determined until the final show. (Special thanks to Alcoa Good Times for the Kymco scooter!)

And gotta say that Arrested Development still sounded great -- they even brought their rocking chair for full effect. Check Sheena Patrick's photo on the jump. (She took the one above, too. We love Sheena.)
