When we last checked in with Truman Melton, 16-year-old columnist for the South Knox • Seymour Community Times, he was campaigning in the second round of Zinch.com's "March Madnezz." His goal: a $20,000 college scholarship.
He won that bracket and the Sweet 16 and is advancing ever forward. "I just made it through the Sweet Sixteen pretty easily this morning, and now I'm in the Elite Eight," he writes in an e-mail. "That means I'm four victories away, including this round, from winning the whole thing."
His current match-up is a student from Irvine, Calif. armed with a Facebook group with 34,000 members. We must propel Truman to victory! Vote NOW!
