The Daily Pulse:

The Sherpa: Back to That Grind

Our Best of Knoxville crazytime has come to an end. The party attracted a crowd (check out some twitpics posted by our art director, Travis Gray). Much food was eaten, beer drunk and music played. People in a attendance may remember a guy who took up the entire dancefloor during DJ Slink's run. He was *obviously* having a good time, and I wanna know who he was.

For those who missed it last week, some handy Best of Knoxville links:
And the stories, my friends. The stories. Dozens. All hand-crafted by Metro Pulse, and brought to you care of the thousands of people who cared enough to let us know who to write about.

Now we'll look ahead to some normal(ish) work weeks and back to the weekly grind. In the meantime, some Metro Pulse content to keep your appetite whetted until next issue.

Did a 14-year-old Design the Sunsphere? by Jack Neely (Secret History)
The most conspicuous feature on Knoxville's skyline opened to the public 27 years ago this week. I saw the Sunsphere then, but prefer it as it is now, partly because the elevator ride is free.

Events for Monday, May 4 [really?? It's already May????]

The Sherpa is a new recurring feature on The Daily Pulse blog. I'll throw out some of the coverage that's gotten attention on our website, as well as feature a couple of events that might be of interest. Let me know if I'm boring the hell out of you, and I'll tweak. --Lindsay Beeson (Senior Designer and such)

(... and speaking of what does and does not bore the hell out of you, how about sharing your thoughts on Metro Pulse with this handy reader's survey?)
