Our recent cover subject, Lisa Horstman, is not just a former Metro Pulse art director and current kids book innovator--she's a die-hard comics fan, and explains why in this recent blog post. Right in time for MP's own comics issue. Wonder if Horstman's childhood favorite, Treasure Chest, is gonna appear in her next kids book, or at least influence some old-school comic technique on her future work? She'll be signing her most recent release, Squawking Matilda, at Carpe Librum on July 11.
