I completely missed this article on the TVA ash-spill disaster in the June GQ, but our national-politics columnist Frank Carlson pointed it out to me. It's a long-form journalism piece of a sort you don't often see in the glossies these days, outside of the New Yorker or The New York Times Magazine (or let alone in a fashion magazine). It's worth reading online, despite the fact that they broke it up over 17 webpages.
