The Daily Pulse:

Jack Neely on WUOT

Our own Jack Neely -- first-place winner for non-daily sports writing published in 2008 -- will be a guest on WUOT's equally award-winning program, Dialogue, tomorrow (August 5) at 1 p.m.

Hosted by Chrissy Keuper, the show will delve into Jack's new book, Market Square: A History of the Most Democratic Place on Earth, coming soon from UT Press.

According to its blurb,

"Market Square details the colorful history of this wonderfully eccentric place, a place that is once again familiar to the whole community, suggesting why, on a good day, Market Square can resemble--as a reporter described it in 1900--'the most democratic place on earth.'"

Do not resist the mellifluous charms of the Neely voice!
