Second Harvest has trying, record-breaking year

Earlier this year we covered the East Tennessee Foundation's emergency grants to local food and service providers, including Second Harvest Food Bank of East Tennessee. Second Harvest has experienced a record-breaking year, and with its partner organizations has distributed nearly 13 million pounds of food throughout 18 East Tennessee counties, including Knox County.

Second Harvest Executive Director Elaine Streno says even that is not enough during these trying times, and invites neighbors to give ... or give again, if possible.
