Just confirmed: A wake for Ali Akbar will be held at the Longbranch Saloon on Cumberland Avenue on Tuesday, Dec. 29, at 7 p.m. The memorial's being held in conjunction with a Longbranch anniversary party--there will be performances by R.B. Morris and Hector Qirko, Roger Smith, Tim Lee, maybe with his band the Tim Lee 3, and whoever else gets lined up between now and then.
