The Daily Pulse:

In Case You Missed It...

Here's an embed and link to the 2008 campaign/Sarah Palin story on CBS' 60 Minutes last night:

Some revelations in the report? McCain wanted Lieberman for VP but the GOP wasn't having it. McCain's campaign manager found Palin while searching for possible female candidates on the Google. And McCain met Palin a full two days before he announced her as his running mate.

So basically everything we thought during the campaign turned out to be true: Palin was never properly vetted by the McCain campaign; she was chosen for mostly cynical reasons (i.e. she's a woman); and she didn't (and likely still doesn't) have a clue what's going on in the world.  More dangerous than a lack of knowledge is her apparent lack of curiosity.

But most significant is not what's wrong with Palin but what her choice reveals about the judgment of McCain.

We're coming up on a year of the Obama administration. With new job numbers showing a persistently bad economy, he'll be the first to say that things aren't great. But take a moment to consider the alternative.

And then bookmark this interview for 2012.
