Add Velvet to the List of New Local Gay Clubs

The Chrome Pony isn't the only local night spot reaching out to a new--and gay--audience. The Bearden spot 4620 Reinvented, which started out as a jazz/piano bar back in the 1990s and has been hosting rock shows for the last few years, is apparently set to reinvent itself once again as the gay nightclub Velvet.

The old 4620 website is down; assume it'll forward you to Velvet sometime soon. The grand re-opening is set for Wednesday, Feb. 3.
