Okay, so we pulled out all the stops this week with a multi-part cover story on Knoxville's BaconFest 2010 (happening Saturday and Sunday) because it hits several sweet spots: local culture (bacon's Appalachian connections), local personalities (event coordinator Laura Sohn and world-famous bacon-maker Allan Benton), local fun (eating bacon!), and the very current national obsession with all things bacon.
One thing we forgot to include in all this bacon love: a writer's byline in our print edition. So let it be known that the person who wrote our bacon spectacular was none other than Rose Kennedy.
