The Daily Pulse:

A New Front in Abortion Fight

The protests over  a new East Knoxville Planned Parenthood clinic  reported in the News Sentinel on Saturday are not an entirely homegrown phenomenon. They represent the first local appearance of an  emerging anti-abortion strategy  to rally racial minorities to the cause by preying starkly on fears of eugenics and even genocide. As The New York Times reports, the idea is to frame abortion not as a personal decision but as "the primary tool in a decades-old conspiracy to kill off blacks." The effort has been led by Catherine Davis, the first minority outreach coordinator for Georgia Right to Life. She is speaking at 10 a.m. Tuesday at  Knoxville Baptist Tabernacle  in East Knoxville.
