The Daily Pulse:

Go Go Guns in Bars

The new guns in bars legislation passed the state's House Judiciary Committee yesterday by a vote of 8-4, advancing a revision of legislation that last year was overturned for being unconstitutionally vague.

The new bill is sponsored by Rep. Curry Todd, a Republican from Collierville -- the same Curry Todd who wants to move the alcohol curfew up to midnight to decrease alcohol-related violence. He seems to be saying that if there is going to be violence in bars, let's make sure it involves guns and occurs at a decent hour.

The new law would allow individuals to carry at places where alcohol is served "unless it's posted otherwise."
