The Daily Pulse:

Bookstore Coming to North Central

This has been in the works for a while, but John Coleman made it official on Friday by publicly announcing a new bookstore in the old Corner Lounge space on North Central, next to Magpies Bakery. Coleman is the owner/proprietor of the excellent Book Eddy on Chapman Highway, and his new venture will be part of the growing "Downtown North" district on Central north of Broadway.

Coleman writes:

We will be carrying a small selection of new books (but with a twist to be announced later), vinyl records, and ephemera. (Almost) every trinket, fetish, goo-gah, piece of furniture, and wall hanging will always be for sale. We will sponsor special events in conjunction with Glowing Body. We will develop a dynamic web site that will allow customers to peruse new arrivals, place special orders, and make appointments to sell books or to see special selections from inventory.

Bookstores! We like bookstores. And we like local independent merchants with the guts to do their own thing. So all we can say is, good luck, John. We look forward to dropping in whenever the door opens.
