School Board Punts on Creationist Controversy

Several members of the Knox County school board expressed sympathy Wednesday night for the concerns of a Farragut father about anti-Christian "bias" in an honors biology textbook. But before a motion by board member Cindy Buttry to "ban" the book could come to a vote, board Chair Indya Kincannon exercised her personal privilege to postpone the issue for a month.
