The Daily Pulse:

Tea Party Convention Coming to a Burg Near You

That's right, folks, the Tennessee Tea Party Coalition has chosen our own Gatlinburg as the location of its May 22-23 state meeting, so for all you "patriotic Americans" out there wanting to share in your generalized anger at big government and big corporations and, most likely, the big drop in the value of your home, this two-day gig will only cost you $30.
Unpatriotic Americans, i.e. anyone who doesn't agree with the thoughts and/or platform of the Tea Party movement, obviously aren't welcome.

I assume the coalition chose Gatlinburg for its proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, created under that other socialist Franklin Delano Roosevelt and his various government work programs. Gatlinburg is clearly dependent on government largess, a welfare baby, if you will, and I can't wait to hear Tea Partiers rip it apart.

Press release after the jump:

The Tennessee Tea Party Coalition was formed on 23 January 2010. Delegates representing 34 Tea Party groups from throughout Tennessee, with a combined membership of over 18,000 Tea Party members, came together and formed our Coalition at a Caucus and ratified our Founding Documents. We believe in and support our Nation's Founding Principles of individual freedom, limited government, free enterprise, the free market economy, and state and national sovereignty.

Tennessee is the first state in the Republic to form a state-wide Tea Party Coalition, and we are very excited to hold our Inaugural Tea Party Convention! Tickets for purchase and detailed information on the convention are available via our website:
