The Daily Pulse:

Criterion Goes Yee-Haw

Mystery Train is undoubtedly my favorite Jim Jarmusch film--it's certainly just as meandering as some of his later, less engaging works, but it's also infused with charm and atmosphere. You wouldn't think that a New York art-scene golden boy could just drop into Memphis and capture the very mood of being directionless in the humid, weird South, but he did. At the time, I certainly could relate, and still do.

And now, there are two great reasons to pick up a copy on DVD: 1.) Criterion is issuing a new special edition on June 15, and 2.) the cover art is by our very own Yee-Haw Industries. A match made in Tennessee!
