At last Saturday's Market Square Farmers Market, representatives from the Association for Creative Zoology were on hand to inform the public about its efforts to designate the bull-raccoon as the official antediluvian animal of Tennessee. As you probably know, Taurus crockettensis was native to Tennessee before the Great Global Flood, as described in the Bible, and it combined the features of a bull and a raccoon.

However, this unique creature has not received the attention it deserves from governmental entities, so the ACZ has started an online petition to give it official state recognition. Add your voice to this great cause!
Better yet, the ACZ has also created bull-raccoon caps and T-shirts for sale. Although I couldn't find an online store for them, they should be available wherever ACZ educators are presenting their literature. The T-shirt logo is especially fetching:
For more information on the bull-raccoon and other points of interest, confer with the Hokes Archives.
