On our Facebook page I've put up photo galleries of two big events this weekend: the Friday kickoff of Kuumba Festival on Market Square, showcasing African arts and music; and Knoxville Pridefest, the gay pride parade on Gay Street Saturday afternoon.
Both events well-attended and enjoyable. The music Friday night at Kuumba was especially nice, adding some much-appreciated variety to the usual fare on the square.
