Randy Neal at KnoxViews is having some fun today with a po-faced left-wing endorsement of Bill Haslam in the Republican primary. Neal, who could charitably be described as a Haslam skeptic, is taking a poke at the fevered attempts by Wamp and Ramsey supporters to paint the Knoxville mayor as some kind of a, you know, moderate. (A word that means about the same as Marxist these days in GOP populist circles.)
In case you miss the snark running all through the post, Neal wraps it up thusly:
we endorse Bill Haslam in the Republican primary because he stands alone among the GOP candidates as best representing the liberal Obama-Pelosi left-wing progressive Democratic agenda.
It will be entertaining to see how many bloggers, anonymous commenters, and/or paid campaign operatives miss the "humor" tag at the end...
