That's right -- our own king of testicular mayhem, Johnny Knoxville, appears to have shot a reality video that does not entail his own physical harm. In Detroit Lives, he tours the ruins of Detroit, but in the trailer (at least) he's not going for laughs. "My name is Johnny Knoxville, and we came here to see what else is going on besides all the bad stuff you hear about in the news," he declares. And with the MC5 cranking on the soundtrack, nicely shot scenes of decrepit buildings, and interesting sound bites from Detroiters, it looks genuinely interesting. Oddly, it was produced by a French boot company as part of a marketing campaign; it was supposed to premiere Aug. 30 on the company's website, but it has not yet appeared.
