Wednesday night's 34th anniversary party for the Longbranch Saloon brought out a crowd of familiar faces, including more than a few who still talk about its current location as the "new" Longbranch. (It moved from across the street nearly 20 years ago.)
The multi-band lineup included the reconstituted Llama Train and the jam-happy Grandpa's Stash, but by the time I got there it was into the consummating one-two punch of the Tim Lee 3 and R.B. Morris. This was the first time I've seen R.B. with the TL3, and it was a galvanizing combination. (Especially with the added firepower of Greg Horne on guitar.) R.B. is no doubt still missing longtime collaborator Hector Qirko, but with Tim, Susan, et al, he may have found his Crazy Horse.
