We usually avoid promoting explicitly sectarian religious events, but the lines get a little blurry this time of year, when churches start holding musical services. A particularly interesting one comes up this weekend, when Redeemer Church hosts a service that appears to have some appeal regardless of your religious affiliation (or non-affiliation). The church, located in Fort Sanders, will hold its annual Lessons & Carols service on Sunday, Dec. 5, at 5 and 7 p.m., featuring guest banjoist Matt Morelock and music from Sufjan Stevens' 2006 Christmas album.
