The Daily Pulse:

Jill Andrews' Debut Album Due on June 7

Jill Andrews' solo EP was one of the best local releases of 2009; it expanded on the promise she'd shown in the everybodyfields with a clear-eyed embrace of '70s-style country-folk that showed off her voice in a way that the everybodyfields' fuzzy gothic-country never had.

So yesterday's announcement that Andrews' first full-length solo album, The Mirror, will be released on June 7 is good news. The disc, which Andrews paid for with money collected through a Kickstarter campaign, will be distributed by Thirty Tigers. The Mirror was produced by Scott Solter and Neilson Hubbard in North Carolina and Nashville; Andrews is currently on an East Coast tour, but will be back in Knoxville for the Dogwood Arts Rhythm n' Blooms Music Festival on Friday, April 1
