Photographer Eric Gebhart shot Marc Broussard's Tuesday performance at the Bijou Theatre and kindly shared the photos with us. Here's what he has to say about the show:
"What better way (or other way) to celebrate Mardi Gras in Knoxville, TN. than to spend an evening with Marc Broussard, who brought his bayou soul brand of music to the Bijou theater this week. Fans endured the wet, rainy weather to see the Louisiana native on Tuesday March 8th. He didn't disappoint. Performing fan favorites and, not just covering but killing 'Good Times Bad Times' by Led Zeppelin. I never knew he could scream like that! After the show he performed a short acoustic set for those hardcore fans who just couldn't get enough.
"Atlanta songwriter Sonia Leigh opened the show with her unique blend of country, blues and rock. Her soulful lyrics and voice were an excellent lead in to Broussard's show. I think she gained a lot of new fans with her performance."
