The News Sentinel and national sports media are reporting that Lady Vols Coach Pat Summitt has been diagnosed with early onset dementia, Alzheimer's type. An official announcement is expected later today. Summitt tells the Sentinel's Dan Fleser that she plans to coach this year: "[A]s far as I'm concerned it's not going to keep me from living my life, not going to keep me from coaching."
