We don't really know what to say about this, but a savvy tipster alerted us to check out Victoria DeFreese's campaign Facebook page. On it there is a picture of one of DeFreese's campaign photos PhotoShopped onto a banner hanging from a large building.
As our tipster correctly pointed out, the original version of this picture shows the American flag being draped over the Pentagon shortly after the 9/11 attacks there. (Which is why there are soldiers are saluting.)
We've put a call into DeFreese but have yet to hear back from her. We aren't really sure if she knew the origin of the PhotoShopped picture or if she's equating herself to the Stars and Stripes or if this is her way of paying tribute to the 10th anniversary of 9/11 a few days early or what. But if we find out, we'll let you know!
