The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: Books, Ballet, and Metal Bands!

Happy hump day, folks! The rest of the week is all down hill! Now here's a diverse day planned for you. Enjoy!

Need some late-summer veggies for a nice ratatouille tonight? Head over to the Market Square Farmer's Market around 11 for first dibs on all that lovely locally-grown produce. And, ok, the homemade bread, too. It goes until 2 p.m. today, so get there!

For the literary nerds, there will be a book club meeting at noon at Union Avenue Books to discuss Ann Napolitano's A Good Hard Look.

Tonight at 7, L.A. alt-metal band Otep will play the Valarium with Butcher Babies, One Eyed Doll, and Shallowpoint. Tickets are $12-$14, and you must be 18 to attend.

At 7:30, Circle Modern Dance will host a ballet class open to everyone (no experience required!), and your first class with the group is free ($5 for the next ones). Colleen Moore will be teaching the class.

Tonight at 10, the Puffy Areolas are playing at the Pilot Light with the Three Man Band and Burning Itch. Cover is $5, and you must be 18 to attend.
