Hope you enjoyed all that free cheese last night, but tonight we offer you something equally as fascinating as free cheese (free of children's fingers): Ironclads.
But first thing's first. Tonight at 5:30, the Atheists Society of Knoxville is meeting at Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria. In fact, the group meets every Tuesday there for happy hour! Check out their website for more information on what they like to talk about.
Next up is a performance by the Dirty Guv'nahs at the Disc Exchange in South Knoxville at 6 p.m. They'll be playing songs from their new album Somewhere Beneath These Southern Skies. By the way, this little performance is absolutely free.
If you'd rather chat with the girls about politics, the oldest women's county Democratic women's club (that would be the Knox County Democratic Women's club) is meeting at Shoney's on Western Ave at 6 p.m. They meet there on the second Tuesday of every month, so if you miss this one, go next time.
Go from one roundtable to another at 8 p.m. with the Knoxville Civil War Roundtable at the Bearden Banquet Hall. Myron J. Smith, Jr. will talk about Ironclads and Timberclads. Admission is $5, but if you want dinner at 7, that'll be $15 for members of the Knoxville Civil War Roundtable and $17 for non-members. Worth it! Call (865)-691-9001 for more info.
