The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: Music, Photos, and the Strip

Whew! I sure am glad to have Monday out of the way. Here's what's going on today.

Today at 10 a.m., head over to MagPie's and check out the photo exhibit from Pellissippi State students who are sharing photos from their experiences studying abroad. Who doesn't love travel photography?

Tonight at the Fountain City Branch Library, the Fountain City Music Festival starts at 5:30. Musicians will perform their own songs or songs from their favorite songwriters. Check out the Songwriters Association's website for more info.

The Knox County Democratic Women's Club will meet at Shoney's (on Western Ave) tonight at 6. This group is the oldest Democratic women's club in the country!

Also at 6, there will be a public meeting about the Cumberland Ave. Corridor project at the UT visitor's center at the corner of Kingston Pike and Neyland Dr. Head over there to get any burning questions about the project answered.

Like history? the Knoxville Civil War Roundtable will have a lecture tonight at 8 in the Bearden Banquet Hall. The lecture costs $5, but if you'd like to have dinner, a buffet will be served at 7 p.m. Dinner is $15 for members of the roundtable, $17 for nonmembers. Call (865)-691-9001 for more info.

The Vaygues, a mod-garage-'60's-R&B band, will play at the Preservation Pub tonight at 10. Cover is $3. For the 21+ crowd only.
