The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: Trains, Art, and Books

Good morning, kiddies. Hope you all had a lovely weekend and all that. Here's what we've got in store for this Monday.

It's Thomas Play Day at Smart Toys and Books at 10 a.m. for kiddos ages 2 and up. There will be toy trains everywhere, as well as train stories. Call (865)-691-1154 for more info.

Today is the last day to see Mike Wsol's "Limited Vision" exhibition at the Ewing Gallery. It opens at 10 a.m., and there will be a closing reception and artist lecture there at 3:30 this afternoon.

Tonight at 5:30 is the Downtown residents' quarterly meeting at the CBID. Visit the downtown website or contact Michele Hummel at (865)-246-2654 for more info.

Like reading? Want a book club to join? The All Over the Page Book Club is meeting tonight at 6:30 in Lawson McGhee Library to talk about John Green's The Fault in Our Stars.

Tonight at the Tennessee Valley Fair in Chilhowee Park, Kip Moore takes the stage at 8. Maybe he'll sing his hit "Somethin' 'Bout a Truck."
