The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: Art Sale, Zumba, and George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic

Good morning kiddies! Pour yourself a second cup of coffee and make some plans for this fine day. Here's what's going on.

At 10 a.m., head out to the Fall Porch Sale at the Appalachian Arts and Crafts Center in Norris. It's a good place to pick up some lower-priced art and crafty things. Go now. Your next opportunity isn't until the Spring.

At noon, brown bag it, and enjoy your lunch at the vistor center downtown. Ian McFeron with the Scenic Roots are playing for WDVX's Blue Plate Special. Oh yeah, and it's free. Get out of the office and enjoy some music!

Tonight at 6, join the zumba class with Carrie Jackson at Southside Baptist Church. The class is $5.

At 7, George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic will take the stage at the Valarium. How can you pass up the chance to see this legend? Tickets are $25-$28. Buy them here or at the door.

If that's not quite up your alley, Whiskey Dick with Knox County Jug Stompers will play at the Well at 9 p.m. That show is free, but is only open to the 21+ crowd.
