Good morning everyone! After a packed September schedule, early October is a good time to recuperate. Take it easy today and enjoy the day's events.
At 10 a.m., head over to MagPies and check out the photo exhibit of Pellissippi State Community College students' study abroad experiences. And maybe try this week's cinnamon roll cupcake--it's kind of breakfast-y!
Brown baggin' it? Take it to the visitor center at noon and listen to the Westside Daredevils (indie-pop locals) and Nancy Beaudette while you eat. Drinks are for sale there, in case you didn't bring one!
At 5:30 p.m., the Amused Life Center will host a Sizemology Ballet Barre Burn workout. Classes are $5.
Lanny Bell, of Brown University, will give two lectures today and tomorrow at the Frank H. McClung Museum at UT. Tonight at 7:30, Bell will give a talk entitled "The Reunion of Body and Soul: Sacred Sexuality and the Resurrection in the Netherworld."
The Knoxville City Council is meeting tonight at 8 (an hour later than usual so that councilors can attend National Night Out celebrations in their neighborhoods), and there are some emergency ordinances on the agenda--take a look and see if any of them apply to you!
Maps Need Reading, New Culture, and Mobility Chief will play at the Well tonight at 9. There's no cover, but the show's only for the 21+ crowd.
