The Daily Plan-It: Holiday Decoration Shopping, Lunchtime Tunes, and TSC Auditions

We're baaaaaack! What did you do without our guidance? Doesn't matter. Here's what you're doing today. The turkey hangover excuse doesn't extend this far.

The Townsend Artisan Guild Holiday Show starts at 9 a.m. at the Townsend Visitor Center. Get out there and get your decorations, people!

Closer to home, Nick DeFord's exhibit "Alleged Posthumous Writings" is still on display at the Emporium Center for Arts and Culture. It's free to go check out the art, as always, and the gallery opens at 9 a.m.

At noon, Rising Appalachia and the Knox County Jug Stompers are playing at the visitor center for WDVX's Blue Plate Special at noon. Bring your brown bag and enjoy some tunes during lunch.

Hey, after all that Thanksgiving family time, take a break for some yoga and meditation to find your balance again. There's a class at 5:30 at the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church. Donations are accepted. Call (865) 577-2021 or email yogaway249@gmail.com for more info.

Hey, acting people! The Tennessee Stage Company is holding auditions tonight from 7 to 9 for its upcoming New Play Festival, which will run from January to March. Auditions will be cold readings. Call (865) 546-4280 for more info.

The Tennessee Theatre will be hosting a free screening of the Extreme Makeover: Home Edition episode that was filmed in Knoxville earlier this year. Not to be missed by fans of the show!
