The Daily Plan-It: KSO Story Time, Writers' Group Lunch, and Live Dinnertime Jazz

Good morning! Has everyone had their coffee? Good. Here's what's going on today.

At 11, you'll find members of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra at the West Knoxville Branch Library, combining stories about music with classical selections. It's also a chance for some hands-on learning for pre-school kiddos. Papas and Mamas, get your kids down there if you have time this morning--free entertainment!

At the Blount County Public Library, local pharmacists and county officials will be on hand at 11 a.m. to talk about how to choose the best Medicare plan for you and your family. It's a chance to get free advice (and then you can check out some books).

The Knoxville Writers' Group will meet at Naples for lunch at 11. Lunch is $12. UT prof and former Knox County Commissioner Mark Harmon will be there to talk about his book Crashing the Commission: Confessions of a University Twit. Call (865) 983-3740 for more info.

Tonight at 7, the Nick Swofford Trio will be playing some live jazz at the Bistro at the Bijou. There's no cover! Just eat, drink, and be merry!

Then, at 8 p.m., Cookie and the Polecats will play at the Well with Brent Thompson. The show is free and open tot he 21+ crowd. Be there!
