The Daily Pulse:

The Daily Plan-It: Art, Halestorm, and Einstein Simplified

Good morning, folks! Rain yesterday and cold weather today! Is anyone else's hair freaking out? No? Yeah. Me neither. Anyway! Here's what's going on today.

From 11 a.m., head over to the Art Market Galley to check out photos by landscape photographer Eric Gebhart and clay sculptor Elaine Barnes. It's free to go in and check out the work.

This evening at 6, work up a sweat to combat the cold at zumba with Carrie Jackson, hosted by Southside Baptist Church. The class is $5 (a steal, really).

At 7:30 p.m., Halestorm will be playing at the Tennessee Theatre with In This Moment and Eve to Adam. Tickets are sold out, according to the theater's website. Ask around, friends.

Einstein Simplified, Knoxville's improv group, will perform at Sidesplitters Comedy Club tonight at 8. It's $5 to get in. 18+ only.

Also at 8 is the Knoxville Civil War Rountable at the Bearden Banquet Hall. There will be a buffet dinner before the lecture and discussion, which costs $15 for members and $17 for nonmembers. If you'd just like to go to the lecture, it's $5. Call (865) 691-9001 for more info.

At 10 p.m., the Mutations will play at the Pilot Light with Pujol. Cover is $5. 18+ only.
