The Arts and Culture Alliance 2012 Members Show continues at the Emporium Center for Arts and Culture today, which opens at 9 a.m. The works presented have all been created within the last two years. It's free to go in and take a look around, so show some support for these locals.

Actors! Get your head shots and monologues ready! The Wild Thyme Players will host auditions for "The Lieutenant of Inishmore" tonight from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church. The play is scheduled to run March 15-17. No acting experience is necessary to audition, but you must be at least 18.
Did you read Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress by Sijie Dai? Have you been wanting to start Mama Day by Gloria Naylor? Check out the All Over the Page Book Club at Lawson McGee Library tonight at 6:30. They'll be discussing the former and starting the latter. It's free to participate!
Got a rumbly in your tumbly? Local foodies, this one's for you. Slow Food Knoxville is celebrating Terra Madre Day at Saw Works Brewing Company tonight from 7 to 9 p.m. with a potluck dinner. Terra Madre Day is celebrated in more than 100 countries worldwide. Casey Self, who is a Slow Food Knoxville Team Leadership members, will give a presentation about her trip as a Knoxville representative to Turin, Italy, for the Terra Madre Conference in October. The potluck is open to everyone in the community, but Slow Food Knoxville asks all attendees to either bring a dish with a local ingredient or $5. That's quite a bargain.
