The Daily Plan-It: Tax Assistance, the Atheists Society, and a Capoeira Class

Good morning! It may be Tuesday, and we may be slogging up the worst of the weekly hill, but there's plenty of cool stuff going on today to keep you entertained. Take a look.

Starting today from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program will help low- to moderate-income families file their taxes for free at the Goodwill Industries of Knoxville (5307 Kingston Pike). The service will continue through April 13. Call (865) 588-8567 for more info.

At noon in the visitor center, Andrew Combs will play at WDVX's Blue Plate Special with LillyHiatt. Grab your lunch and enjoy the free lunchtime entertainment.

If you've got some kiddos who need something to do with their hands, the Blount County Public LIbrary will have Serendipity Crafts and Activities today at 4 p.m. for kids in grades K-6. Free to attend!

At 5:30, the Atheists Society of Knoxville will meet at Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria. The meeting is open to all atheists and atheist-friendly people. Find more info at the group's website.

At 6 p.m., the Emporium Center for Arts and Culture will host a Capoeira class (Brazilian martial arts). The first class you take is free, and $12 for every class after that. Check out Capoeira Fundo da Mata's website for more info.

The Jazz Continuum will play at the Baker Peters Lounge tonight at 7 p.m. 21+ only.

Mike Snodgrass will play at the Well tonight at 10. No cover! 21+ only.
