The Daily Plan-It: Yoga, Parenting, and Music Galore!

Good morning, kids! We're just a day away from Friday! Check out what's going on today.

Geri Forkner and Elizabeth Porter's art exhibit "Alternate Realities" is still on display at the Emporium Center for Arts and Culture. The center opens at 9 a.m., so head over there if you've got some time to kill this morning. 

Need to fit it a workout sometime today? Got some yoga pants handy? The Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church is hosting a gentle yoga and meditation class at noon. Call (865) 577-2021 or email yogaway249@gmail.com for more info. Donations are accepted.

The Blount County Public Library will have a free "computers for beginners" class today from 2 to 4 p.m. Call (865) 273-1436 for more info!

Smart Toys and Books will start hosting a four-week seminar session for brushing up on some parenting tips. Topics will touch on etiquette, managing sibling rivalry, preparing for kindergarten, and encouraging those kiddos to read. The class tonight is $10 and starts at 6 p.m. 

You have some choices to make tonight around 8 p.m.Yonder Mountain String Band, who call themselves a "progressive bluegrass" band, will take the stage at the Tennessee Theatre. Tickets to see them are $25. Buy them here
Also at 8, Guy Clark will take the stage of the Bijou Theatre. Tickets to see the Americana-country musician are $26.50. Buy them here

Detroit electro-pop outfit Jamaican Queens will play at the Pilot Light tonight at 10 in support of their debut album scheduled to be released on March 5. There's no cover tonight! 18+ only.
