The Daily Plan-It: Kid Rock, A Raisin in the Sun, and A Night at the Cheese Shop Vaudeville Show

Happy Hump Day! We're halfway through the week. So hang in there and take a look at what's going on today.

At 11, the Knoxville Writers' Group will meet at Naples. Mallory Kane will be there to talk about making it as a writer. It's $12 to sit in and have lunch. Call (865) 983-3740 for more info.

At noon, Tim Haggerty will play for WDVX's Blue Plate special in the visitor center. It's free to attend! Bring your lunch and buy a Coke while you're there.

At 6 p.m., Circle Modern Dance will hold an intermediate/advanced-level modern technique class at the Emporium Center for Arts and Culture. The first class you take with the group is free and $5 for every class after that. Visit the group's website for more info. 

Kid Rock will perform at the Civic Coliseum with Buckcherry and Hellbound Glory tonight at 7:30. Tickets are $39.50-$69.50. Buy them here.

"A Rasin in the Sun"--the classic play about an African American family in 1950's Chicago--will be presented tonight at the Clarence Brown Theatre at 7:30. Tickets are $12-$25. Buy them here.

A Night at the Cheese Shop Vaudeville Show starts at 9 p.m. at the Well. It's $5 to get in. 21+ only.

Birdcloud will play at the Pilot Light at 10 p.m. with Smoking Nurse and Foucocos. It's $6 to get in. 18+ only.
