The Daily Plan-It: Tax Assistance, Orion Astronomy Club, and a Blues Jam

Good morning, and happy Hump Day! Pour yourself another cup of coffee and take a look at what's going on today.

Starting at 10 a.m., the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program will be available to help low- to moderate-income families file their taxes. They'll be at the Goodwill Industries of Knoxville today (5307 Kingston Pike). Call (865) 588-8567 for more info.

At noon, the KJO Jazz Lunch program will pay tribute to Nat King Cole in the Square Room, and the show is sold out! Doors open at 11:30. Ask around for tickets ($15). 

At 5:30, the Amused Life Collective will have a Yo! We Got Yoga! class (a yoga-inspired dance fitness class). It's $5 to drop in and join the class tonight.

The Orion Astronomy Club will meet tonight at 7 at the Grove Theatre in Oak Ridge. Poet and Physicist John C. Mannone will present a multimedia show combining poetry, scientific commentary, music, and images. Check out the group's website for more info. 

Tonight at the Well, Cookie and the Polecats will play at 8 with Jodie Manross. No cover. 21+ only.

Going to be in Maryville tonight? Head over to Brackins Blues Club for the Brackins Blues Jam hosted by Robert Higginbotham and the Smokin' Section. The show starts at 9 p.m. 21+ only.
