The Daily Plan-It: UT's Darwin Day, Yoga, and the Lonetones

Good morning, friends! Let's prop up our eyelids long enough for that second cup of coffee to kick in, and then you should check out what's going on today.

The University of Tennessee is celebrating Charles Darwin's birthday with three days of lectures, contests, videos, info booths, and a keynote lecture from University of Texas prof and Nobel Prize winner Camille Parmesan. Check out the schedule of events and plan accordingly.

At noon, the Tennessee Valley Unitarian Universalist Church will host a yoga class. Donations are accepted. Call (865) 577-2021 or email for more info.

At 5:30, the Amused Life Collective will have a hip-hop dance fitness class. It's $5 to drop in, or $25 for six classes.

At 6:30, medical pactitioners Phillip Michael, Bob Eklund, and Ragi Doggweiler will be on hand in the classrooms of Parkwest Medical Center to talk about how they approach holistic and integrative medicine. It's free to attend.

The Lonetones will play at WDVX's Tennessee Shines tonight at 7 with Matt Duncan.Tickets are $10-$15.

The Big Wooly will play at Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria tonight at 8. It's a free show! Got check it out while you finish off a pie.
