At 6 p.m., Neil Lerner, a music professor at Davidson College in Nashville, will give a lecture entitled "The Specter of Early Cinema Music in Video Games" in UT's Alumni Memorial Building. It's free to attend!

At 7:30, go check out a performance of "Red" at the Clarence Brown Theatre. Tickets to the drama about Mark Rothko are $12-$20. Buy them here.

Canadian country band Corb Lund and the Hurtin' Albertans will play at Barley's Taproom and Pizzeria tonight at 8 with Mike McGill. The show's free! 21+ only.

Project Runaway, a fashion show benefit to help at-risk youth, starts at 7 p.m. at the Foundry. Tickets are $25.

Robinella, the Grande Dame of Knoxville's Americana scene, will play at the Clayton Center for the Arts at 8 p.m. Tickets to see her are $10. Buy them here.

Florida reggae band Rising Lion will play at the Well at 9 p.m. It's $10 to get in. 21+ only. 

Starting at 10 a.m., the Holiday Inn Select will host a Record and CD Collector Show. Go check out the thousands of LPs, CDs, and singles. It's at 304 N Cedar Bluff Rd.

In advance of their evening show at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium and Coliseum, members of rock band Shinedown will be at the Disc Exchange for a singing event at noon. Then, at 7, they'll play downtown. Tickets are $26-$42.50. Buy them here.

The Tennessee Theatre will host a 2:30 matinee of Puccini's "Girl of the Golden West" opera. Tickets start at $13. Buy them here.

The Birdhouse will host a pot luck for the Knoxville couch surfing community from 7 to 11 p.m. Free to attend!
