The Daily Pulse:

Comedian Launches Fundraiser Ahead of Campfield Debate

J. LaLonde, who will debate state Sen. Stacey Campfield later this month, said he'd raise money ahead of the big night for Choices Resource Center, a pro-life organization in Oak Ridge that provides STD testing and counseling services to people facing unplanned pregnancies.

On the Indiegogo page, LaLonde says in a video that he wants to represent people who "live an alternative lifestyle" during the debate with Campfield, who LaLonde names as the sponsor of the "Don't Say Gay" bill.

People who donate $10 to LaLonde's fundraiser will get a DVD of his stand-up performance at the Tennessee Theatre in Jan. 2011. People who donate $25 get a poster for the debate. And, should you donate at least $500, you get a private stand-up performance from LaLonde and his friends at your next dinner party.
